The exhibition opening at Kunstraum Niederösterreich was great. Katrina Petter’s talk gave a good inside to public art in Niederösterreich which was the allover theme of the exhibition. Heimwehtropfen played some fine music with outthere lyrics on a stage they build the day before. Nicolas Mahler exhibited four drawings. One showed a retirement home with a big crossword puzzle billboard. In his eyes this is the only serious literature written specifically for old people. tat ort constructed a white wall that was slightly off on purpuse. It closed off the main entrance to the exhibition by just leaving a small part to glimpse through. Anna Artaker’s work took reference on how language defines public space. Catrin Bolt showed a video installation were she hugged statues and Daniel Domig’s sculptures were a reference to the archive as public memory. Last but not least the Motmot poster wall at the entrance of the exhibition which definitely added some color to the exhibition. Die Ausstellungseröffnung war großartig. Katrina Petter führte mit einer Rede in die Thematik Kunst im öffentlichen Raum in Niederösterreich ein. Heimwehtropfen war als Band einmalig. Die selbstgebaute Bühne wurde Teil ihrer Performance. tat ort versperrte mit einer weißen Wand den Haupteingang zur Ausstellung. Nur an den Seiten wo durch absichtliche Imperfektion ein Schlitz entstand, konnte der Besucher erahnen, was ihn im nächsten Raum erwartet. Anna Artakers Arbeit zeigt auf, wie Sprache den öffentlichen Raum definiert. Catrin Bolt umarmt in ihrer Videoinstallation Statuen. Daniel Domig spielt mit dem Begriff des Archivierens. Die Motmot Posterwand ist gewiss das bunteste Element in der Ausstellung. Bis 3. Oktober läuft Fortsetzung folgt im Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Herrengasse, 1010 Wien.
