Hey, you probably realize that the Motmots are design geeks, but did you know one of them is also a music geek? Anyway, we’re making a more-or-less-monthly mixtape over at 8tracks.com. We’re just trying to give people a gift, a mix of music by a bunch of bands you’re probably never heard of!
This month’s selection has some power poppers, rocksteady, new wave, and garage-freak-a-delia. Dig the tunes of Sam Cooke, Thee Oh Sees, The Shangri-Las, Dave Edmunds, Wreckless Eric, and featuring a song by the bizarre combination of Hall and Fripp. Yes, that Hall and that Fripp.
