Neu: Motmot trifft Mano Design

Einen Tag im Garten bei Mano Design in der Grundsteingasse in Wien: Die Motmots waren fleißig und haben an den neuen Frühstück-Sets und Espressotassen gearbeitet. Wir haben uns für die Yuckies entschieden. Auf speziellen Folien wurden diese siebgedruckt, anschließlich mit einer Schere zerschnitten und kurz ins Wasser gelegt. Die bedruckte Folie löst sich so von ihrem Trägermaterial und kann anschließlich auf die Tassen und Teller geklebt werden, die Hedwig von Mano Design mit viel Liebe vorbereitet hat. Die Tassen und Teller werden anschließend im Keramikofen gebrannt. Heute konnten wir die Lieferung entgegennehmen. Fast wie Weihnachten … Demnächst werde ich die neuen Tassen fotografieren und online stellen.

Motmot @ Blickfang Stuttgart

Nun ist es endlich soweit! Vom Freitag, den 12.03 – So, den 14.03. nimmt Motmot erstmals an der Designmesse Blickfang in Stuttgart teil. Dies ist Motmots erste Deutschlandreise. Wir sind schon gespannt und hoffen, dass unser etwas oft schräge Humor auch in Stuttgart gut ankommt. Mehr Informationen zur Designmesse gibt es auf www.blickfang.com!

Finally, we are packed and ready to go to the international designfair: Blickfang. Visit us from Friday, March 12 until Sunday, March 14 at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart, Germany. Out now: +rosebud VERY FUNNY!, a 600 page book that includes the longest joke in the world, and explores the previously unimagined depths and pitfalls of our fun-and-games culture. Motmot made it into this book with Steve’s drawings and his out-there humor (Featured previously in Cheetahs Never Win). We are still waiting for our copies of VERY FUNNY which will be sold at the Motmot Shop soon! There will also be an exhibition at rosebud in the former Yugoslavian Embassy, Salmgasse 4a, 1030 Vienna, starting Sep 14 to Oct 30, from 10 to 5 p.m. on weekdays only! Ha Ha Ha!

Übrigens: es gibt auch eine Ausstellung zum Buch und zwar bei rosebud – in den Räumlichkeiten der früherer jugoslawischen Botschaft – in der Salmgasse 4a, 1030 Wien, die vom 14. September bis 30. Oktober läuft und wochentags von 10 bis 17 Uhr geöffnet ist! Ha Ha Ha!

An exhibition curated by Omar Vulpinari/Fabrica at the MAK shows Steve’s/Motmot funny jagged drawings in poster size. Save the date and come to the opening on Tuesday, September 8, 8 p.m. Cute puppies takes place until October 26. By the way. We’re back from our vacation! It was great! Regular shop hours have resumed!

In dieser von Omar Vulpinari/Fabrica kuratierten Ausstellung zeigt Steve/Motmot Zeichnungen im Posterformat. Kommt zur Eröffnung am Dienstag, den 8. September um 20:00 Uhr. Cute Puppies läuft bis zum 26. Oktober. Übrigens: Wir sind gut aus dem Urlaub zurück. Fein war’s!
